Jason Lock is the Senior Editorial Manager for Surfline in EMEA.Previously, Jason headed up all editorial, social and marketingcontent as Global Managing Editor for magicseaweed. He’s beencovering swells at Nazare for almost a decade and remembersevery major session, seeing as he’s reported on most, if not all, ofthem. Jason’s based in Cornwall in the UK and you’ll find himsurfing the county’s south coast, or around the tiny surf village ofPorthtowan and the Hayle stretch of beaches. He really likessurfing.

João was the first European professional surfer to qualifyto paddle in the WSL Big Wave Tour, which he finished inthe Top 5 back in 2012/2013 season. He graduated inEconomy in the year 2000 and in the same year hefounded "Surf Academy”. In California, he was the co-founder and project manager of the World SurfingReserves. João de Macedo is also known for paddling thegiant waves of Praia do Norte, Nazaré.

Mikey is an award winning documentary director andcinematographer and Emmy award winner in recognitionfor his work on the highly lauded HBO series 100ft Wave.Mikey’s directorial debut feature doc, Savage Waters,premiered to critical acclaim at the 2022 Doclands filmfestival and has won multiple awards across the globe.Mikey has been making films in Nazare since 2014, and isstill as much in awe of the place and the people that surfthere as he has ever been.
